Car Insurance
To provide an accurate quotation for your car insurance your insurance company will need to ask you a number of questions. Having the following information to hand will save you time:

Vehicle details - make, model, registration, age, value, capacity (cc), will it be garaged?

Driver details - date of birth etc and driving history i.e. previous accidents and convictions.

No claims bonus - entitlement showing the name of your current insurer and policy number.

What kind of cover you will want - comprehensive or third party fire and theft.

What the vehicle will be used for - domestic or business

What sort of excess would you be prepared to pay - i.e. the amount you would wish to pay towards a claim
-
Any restrictions - to who can drive the vehicle or for what purpose.
Home Insurance
To provide a quote for your home contents, buildings or both, your insurance company will need to ask you a number of questions. Having the following information to hand will save you time:

Property details - address/postcode, age of building, number of rooms/bedrooms, rebuilding cost, value of contents.

Owner details - how long lived at the property and previous home claims history.

Security of premises - alarms, window locks, neighbourhood watch scheme.

What type of cover you want - buildings, contents, accidental damage

What sort of excess would you be prepared to pay - i.e. the amount you would wish to pay towards a claim

How long you have been with your current insurer - and how long since your last claim.
